Bushcraft – it’s like a kind of Religion, so I’m a Bushcraft Monk.
If I were to describe my entire life in one word, it would be: Vigorous. Began the soul-searching journey towards the quest of escape; of freedom from the shackles of burdens of the daily life. It was a hunt for inspiration…for peace. Nature, with its tall majestic trees swaying under the vast canopy of the sky beckoned the scout inside of me. Cacophony of the wilderness, the raging desire to explore nature in its rawest form is what drove me towards bushcraft and all things untamed.
I seek the thrill of forging survival out of life itself. Nature is self-sufficient and all sustaining. My heart lies in primeval tools and camping styles and my take on this is merely simple. No electricity, no power tools whatsoever. My companions are my weapons and my knives as I spend my hours beneath the brilliant sky, enamored by the wilderness.
The charm of the fast paced world has consumed many before me and will consume many long after I am part of the very soil I explore. The adventure I have set out on is my pursuit of happiness as nature and mankind dare to co-exist in harmony. This is the tale of one man and his story captured in time through lens of his camera; will you join me?
I live in central Europe in Lithuania, one of the Baltic States situated along the southern shore of the Baltic Sea. My country boats of rolling hills, lush green forests and lakes and rivers that will leave their viewers mesmerized. Lithuania lies east of Sweden and Denmark where the temperature rises to 20-30°C (68-86°F) in the summer and can fall over -20°C (-4°F) in the winter. A dainty state with stunning vistas, there is much to be explored here. Be my guest as I take you along my quest.
